Simple Sunday Card | Picnic Time

For today's Simple Sunday Card I re-made a card I'd made years ago.

This card only includes two stamps, some simple inking with multiple inks and a little border strip. Photo corners, and a few blossoms finish things off nicely.

What I like about this card is the texture that the stamp gives. It's not a perfect impression and the stamp is designed to be distressed. By inking up this type of stamps in multiple colors you automatically get grunge and soft color mixed together. Super simple. And the photo corners give it a nice polished look which is in contrast to the stamp.

I don't usually gravitate toward flowers on my projects unless their stamped but when I found these blossoms in my stash I knew I wanted them on this card. They seem so fitting for a picnic card. A picnic without flowers just isn't a picnic....right?!

Supplies:

Cardstock - PTI New Leaf, Vintage Cream, Kraft, Blueberry Sky Patterned Paper: MME?, Ink: Broken China, Spiced Marmalade, Peeled Paint Distress Inks, Border Punch: Fiskars, Misc: Blooms from my stash,

SSC.02 | You

Hello there.

Today's Simple Sunday Card was inspired by this photo that I came across on Pinterest.

For this cards I just lots of stamping and a few different colors of ink. The simple part about this card is there aren't many layers. Aside from the white card stock base and the black card stock strips this would be an easy card to whip up in 5 minutes.

I love the inspiration photo. I love the dark shadows and I might recreate this card to more closely resemble the inspiration photo.

That's it for today.

Sweet Crafting.

Stamps: Rosie Posie (PTI), Notting hill (7Gypsies), Cardstock: Plum Pudding, True Black (PTI), Ink: Smokey Shadow, Berry Sorbet, Harvest Gold (PTI), Orchid Opulence, Tempting Turquoise, Pink Passion (SU!)

Simple Sunday Card | Welcome Summer

Hello there.

Welcome to the first in our blog series of Simple Sunday Cards.

My hope is to bring you a simple card each sunday throughout the year, starting with today's card.

Welcome Summer

It's almost here and the anticipation is growing among my students and the teachers alike. We are all excited for the testing to be over and the break to begin.

This quick and easy card features Pink Paislee Nantucket Ephemera die cuts along with Patterned papers from October Afternoon - Farmhouse Collection and Jillibean Soup - Apple Cheddar Soup Collection , and a sentiment from Papertrey Ink - A Wreath for All Seasons Stamp Set. Aside from that all I added was dry and foam adhesive and rounded the corners with my corner chomped (the yellow one).

Quick and Easy.

See you all next week with another Simple Sunday Card.

Have a crafty week everyone.
